Alireza Peyman Pak, Deputy Minister of Security and Head of the Iranian Trade Development Organization regarding the latest actions of this organization in trade relations with Qatar on the eve of the World Cup and taking this opportunity to develop foreign trade, said: One of the main approaches of the 13th government is to develop trade with neighboring countries.
He continued: Qatar is also considered as one of the targets of this approach because the President personally visited that country and met with the Emir of Qatar and the Emir of Qatar also visited Tehran. At these meetings, good agreements were reached and the necessary orders were issued.
Peyman Pak said trade relations between Iran and Qatar were not developed in the past and said there are issues such as customs infrastructure and cargo transportation, which have been partially resolved. by allocating part of the Qatari ports to the direct shipment of goods from Iran. and the construction of a direct shipping line.
He highlighted the establishment of a business center in Doha and the dispatch of a delegation of 75 Iranian businessmen to Qatar and added: "During this trip, the businessmen had good negotiations for the development of business and good agreements have been reached".
Referring to the holding of an exhibition of food products, detergents, handicrafts, bags and shoes in Qatar, the head of the Iranian Trade Development Organization said: This exhibition was held there a month ago with the presence of major Iranian brands and more than 35 Qatari sheikhs. visit. .
He called the achievement of holding this exhibition on the eve of the World Cup the conclusion of an agreement on food and agricultural supply during the World Cup and continued: With this agreement, 250 tons of food and of agriculture will be sent to Qatar. every day, several shipments of which have now arrived in Qatar.
Regarding the long-term cooperation between the businessmen of the two countries, Peyman Pak also said: According to the agreements, Qatari investors, by being present in Iran and investing, produce the necessary goods in Qatar so that these goods can be exported to their country. .
He announced the preparation of a roadmap for the development of trade between Iran and Qatar and reaching a balance of 3 billion dollars and said: A large part of this roadmap is related to re-exports so that we can use Qatar's capacity to export our goods to other countries.
The head of Iran's Trade Development Organization pointed out: Qatar has significantly reduced the re-export tariff for Iranian traders and considered a large discount.
In addition, we can use this ability to import the necessary goods.
