The Director General of Ports and Maritime Affairs of Sistan and Balochistan announced the arrival of the first container ship of 6,500 TEU containers by establishing a regular direct shipping service from Southeast Asia to the port of Chabahar .
 

Qasim Askari Nesab, Director General of Ports and Maritime Affairs of Sistan and Balochistan, said the first container ship with 6,500 TEU containers from Southeast Asia has arrived at Shahid Beheshti port and said : with the aim of an optimal use of the infrastructures, the port, the equipment and port capacities of Chabahar and the development of container operations and the access of shipowners to the container maritime transport network; The establishment of regular maritime services from the origin and destination of the port of Chabahar has been put on the agenda of this general administration.
According to the report of the General Administration of Ports and Maritime Affairs of Sistan and Balochistan, the Director General of Ports and Maritime Affairs of Sistan and Balochistan added: In this regard, based on the agreement reached with the Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Group, scheduled shipping service from Southeast Asia origin and then to other ports The area is established and the first vessel with a capacity of 6,500 TEU containers (Saturday January 10) entered the Shahid Beheshti port of Chabahar, and the ship's unloading operation began immediately.
