The start of the implementation of the Persian Gulf Bridge at the same time as the 44th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution.
The CEO of Qeshm Free Zone Organization said: The executive operation of the Persian Gulf Bridge, as a long-time wish of the islanders, will begin concurrently with the 44th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution and the birth of Imam Ali (AS).
 

Afshar Fath Elahi, the CEO of the Qeshm Free Zone Organization, announced the news and said: Construction of the Persian Gulf Bridge will resume after a 7-year hiatus in the 13th government and along with the days of Fajr.
Fath Elahi continued: Connecting the largest island in Iran and the Middle East to the mainland is one of the long-held dreams of the islanders, which will come true in the revolutionary and popular government.
According to him, the construction of this bridge plays an important role in the development of the country's north-south corridor and the comprehensive and rapid development of Qeshm Island.
The CEO of Qeshm Free Zone Organization said: Considering Qeshm's strategic role in the region, we have also started the development of road infrastructure, and with the construction of the bridge, the transport ring of the island will be completed.
Fath Elahi said, "The Persian Gulf Bridge is now at 15% physical progress and the total project implementation cost is estimated at 460 million euros."
According to him, this project includes four car crossing lanes, a train crossing lane, emergency lanes and a sidewalk, and is expected to take about three and a half years to complete.
The CEO of Qeshm Free Zone Organization recalled: In view of the elaborate plans to transform Qeshm Island into an oil, gas and petrochemical hub, there is a need to develop the infrastructure of the island, including the construction of A bridge.
Fath Elahi continued: Qeshm, in addition to the capacity of the energy sector, has a great potential for port development, and therefore the development of Kaveh port with a potential for loading and unloading around 2 million containers per an is one of the main links in the operation of strategic projects, it is on the agenda.
He said: With the construction of the Persian Gulf Bridge, 92 kilometers of highways and 86 kilometers of railways will be created from Kaveh Port to national lines.
At the end, the CEO of Qeshm Free Zone Organization noted: The beautiful island of Qeshm is one of the national capitals belonging to all Iranians, which is moving in the direction of progress and development with the infrastructure measures taken in months, and with the laying of rails for the way forward.
