The path of growth and development of Mahan Aviation over time

1992

Creation of Mahan Airlines, the first Iranian private airline, and start of operations with flights on the Tehran-Kerman route.

1999

Fleet expansion with the addition of two Airbus A300s and the start of its modernization.

2001

Fleet expansion with A300-600, A310, A320, A340 and Boeing 747 aircraft and development of international routes.

2011

Significantly increasing the domestic and international flight network and becoming one of the largest airlines in the country.

2012

Addition of several Airbus A340-600s to the fleet and acquisition of approximately 55 aircraft; maintaining first place among national airlines in terms of passenger traffic for the third consecutive year.

2015 TILL 2018

Carrying over 5 million passengers annually and maintaining a leading position in the Iranian aviation industry.

2019

Operating an average of about 100 daily flights on domestic and international routes before the coronavirus outbreak.

2020 Till now

Continuing to operate in an extensive domestic and international network, developing online services, and maintaining its position as Iran's largest private airline.

Since its establishment in 1992, Mahan Air has become one of Iran's most important and largest private airlines by developing its fleet, expanding its domestic and international flight network, and offering diversified services to passengers.
