He continued, “Oman, due to its geographical location in the region, has made significant investments in the area of ​​ports over the past decade, which has the potential to facilitate re-export and transit from countries of 'East Asia and South Asia such as India.'
The Director General of Transit of the Roads and Transport Organization, stating that in activating the transit of Oman through Iran, the focus has been on the port of Chabahar, said: The port of our country closest to Oman is Chabahar port, which we are focusing on development of this port and seek development oriented We are east through Chabahar and facilitate transit to Afghanistan and countries of the CIS.
He pointed out that all these agreements were reached in a context where Turkmenistan recently announced that it would allow trucks to travel from June 1, and that this meeting with Oman would be important in terms of time and regional conditions.
Stating that good port agreements have been reached with the Omani people, he added, "We will set up regular container and ship lines with Oman, and traders from both countries and other countries will be able to use these lines. regular".
Referring to the establishment of a logistics center in Iran and Oman, the general manager of Transit said: "During the meeting with the Omanis, we announced our desire to invest in the field of logistics in this country. and it was decided that part of Chabahar will be invested in Oman and a logistics center will be set up."
