In an interview, Reza Noorani answered the question that Ukraine has not renewed the credentials of the Iranian ambassador to Ukraine and does this problem affect the volume of trade between these two countries ? He said: "Ukraine is not an economically important country for Iran, and Iran's trade volume with this country did not exceed $200 million before the start of the war with Russia. "
He said recent tensions in Ukraine have diminished the country's role in global economic exchanges, and added: Ukraine is considered one of the largest grain producers in the world, and Iran also imported cereals and inputs for the livestock of this country. But it seems that by removing Ukraine from the supplier market, Iran turned to new markets and chose the CIS and Russia among the countries.
According to the member of the Agriculture Committee of the Iranian Chamber; The sanctions have removed the possibility of direct financial transactions for businessmen, and it is not possible for Iranian businessmen to export to distant destinations such as Europe and Asian countries of ballast.
Referring to Iran's joining the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, the head of the Agricultural Commodities Union pointed out, "The Shanghai agreement will have a great impact on our trade development. On the other hand , we can also export some of our products to these countries".
Noorani continued: Joining the Shanghai Organization has opened up new markets for us, and there is no doubt that our agricultural and industrial products, especially our fish and protein products, will have many buyers.
He said that increased trade development requires the provision of export infrastructure, and added: Our road transport is worn out and this has increased the price of our export products, but before entering on new markets, we must first develop infrastructures, try to be able to manage them when new markets open up to us.
This economic activist continued: We must create a national will to develop export infrastructure; For more than 25 years, exporters have announced that they are facing a shortage of refrigerated containers, but on the pretext that we produce refrigerated containers inside the country, they are prevented from entering the territory, and few attention is given to the fact that this issue could be one of the prerequisites for the development of exports.
Noorani stressed: We need to check our production potential and put products that absorb less water in the production order.
In order to achieve the goal and expand exports, two-way communication should be established between organizations and officials, and meanwhile, we can use the science and technology of knowledge-based enterprises.
According to the statements of the vice-president of the joint chamber of Iran and Ukraine; The common room of the two countries was partially closed due to the problems and the disconnection of the relations between the two countries.
