In an interview with national media, Seyed Ehsan Khandozi said about the objectives of the Iranian delegation to the second Caspian Economic Forum: Considering the political will of the countries bordering the Caspian Sea, which was announced by the presidents of the five countries, it was necessary to conclude partial agreements and conclude contracts in various economic fields.
He said that a very good meeting was held between the economy ministers of the five countries bordering the Caspian Sea.
The Minister of Economy recalled: "Over the past year, the trade of the countries bordering the Caspian Sea has increased by about 30%. Khandozi, noting that during the meeting of the first vice-president of our countries and the prime ministers of the countries, five axes were highlighted, he added: first, the rapid completion of the north-south corridors; East of the Caspian Sea, we have the Inche railway connection point -Brown, and west of the Caspian Sea, we have the Astara rail connection point, which will be connected by rail to the country's railway and the Persian Gulf region and the sea of Oman.
He continued: The second axis that was highlighted was the increase of oil and gas exchanges between the countries bordering the Caspian Sea and the third axis, the acceleration of the customs green lane and the electronic exchange of documents trade and the equalization of transport tariffs. : Another axis the focus was on trade settlements based on national currencies and the connection between them of the banking network and bank cards of the Caspian Sea countries (including the Iranian Shatab network with the Russian Mir network ).
Khandozi said: It was also decided that the economy ministers of the 5 Caspian border countries will prepare a roadmap of economic interactions in detail to be included in the agenda of the next meetings.
Regarding the achievements of this meeting, he said: Specifically, there was consensus on accelerating the construction of railway lines east and west of the Caspian Sea since the entry of Inche Brun and also the entry of Astara, and the pre-contracts in this regard are being prepared.
Stating that we hope that the Inchebron contract will be finalized soon, the Minister of Economy added: Agreements have been reached between the Minister of Petroleum of Iran and the authorities of Russia and Kazakhstan in the field of the increase in swaps.
Khandozi added: Before this trip, during the talks with the head of Iranian customs, the necessary preparations have been made to create a green customs road, and we must speed it up.
He continued: “We also had a meeting with the Central Bank of Russia regarding settlement with national currencies and accelerating the connection of the banking network. These agreements will be the point of banking connection with the countries of Central Asia. and the CIS countries, so that through this, Iran can All countries bordering the Caspian Sea should trade with national currencies.
According to Shada, the second Caspian Economic Forum was held in Moscow in the presence of the first vice-president of Iran and the prime ministers of four other coastal countries.
