Ahmad Jamali said, "The establishment of joint free zones is one of the strategic policies of the 13th government in international relations, especially relations with border neighbors and Asian countries."
Referring to the orders of the President during the Sixth Summit of Caspian Border Countries and the First Vice President to strengthen trade and economic cooperation between the Caspian border countries, especially in the field of development of transit corridors, he added: for this reason, the question of the creation of common free zones is on the agenda of the secretariat of the Higher Council of Franco-commercial-industrial and special economic regions.
He said trade and industrial and joint special economic free zones are the new generation of free zones; He said: The objectives of the formation of these zones, which are created between two or more countries, are to facilitate trade and investment, applying preferential conditions in trade and offering incentives for investment as well as tax and customs exemptions.
The Economic Vice-President of the Secretariat of the High Council for Free and Special Zones said that in these zones, commercial and industrial goods can be exchanged more easily in the international transport system, and continued: Also, with the creation of these areas, we have witnessed the encouragement of joint investment, better exchange of joint economic data, the possibility of creating We will be the window of joint unity, capacity building and knowledge utilization and the experiences of the opposite country's free zones and the creation of sustainable jobs.
Jamali acknowledged: To this end, a meeting was held on Wednesday evening (March 23) with the presence of competent government agencies in the field of international trade and investment, with the aim of discussing and investigating the formation of joint free zones at the Secretariat. free and special economic zones.
He added: During this meeting, the benefits of the creation of these zones in increasing and diversifying our country's exports, modernizing and facilitating the transport system between countries, increasing the process of foreign investment and technology transfer were discussed.
In the end, the economic deputy of the Secretariat of the Higher Council of Free and Special Zones noted: At this meeting, it was decided to accelerate the studies related to the formation of common free zones taking advantage of the opinions and the cooperation of the competent institutions so that the creation of these zones can be implemented sooner.
